Video evidently provided by the African Bible Students. All Christians agree Jesus died in order for sin to be forgiven. How did Jesus’ death make it possible for sin to be forgiven?

  2. To me, it took more than “Ransom” to understand why Jesus sacrifce canceled sin. It took seeing the correspondence of Israels tabernacle sacrififes substituting for Aaron, the priests, and for Israel. The animals stood-in for, substituted for individuals and groups. God’s Law of, “One man’s life for one man’s life” was not enough. It was realizing that Jesus as a perfect human stood-in for, substituted for one other perfect man, Adam. Jesus took Adam’s place in death, gave the price for, to offset, to redeem Adam. This made St Paul’s statement make sense, “As in Adam all die, so in Christ will all be made alive.” Again, “As by one man’s disobedience all men came under condemnation, so by the obedience of one all men receive a righteous standing. In that by Jesus’ death he bought Adam and all his race. Thus we are debtors to Christ, whether we know so or not! This constitutes the Ransom to be made known to all men in due time, for all men are benefactors of that ransom-sacrifice, substituionary-sacrifice, just and unjust alike. This was all fore-known in the mind of God. He knew, He knows, He always knows!

  4. It is great to see “Restoration of all things” promoted. Restoration was a major part of Jesus ministry at his first advent. Every “healing” Jesus did was a demonstration of powers to be used in the kingdom – restoring all things, even restoring Lazarus before he emerged from the cave-tomb., and making blind see, lame walk, a withered hand whole again, and casting out demons from men’s minds. During Christ’s second advent, restoration is a major part of the kingdom – restoring mankind to Adam’s plane of perfection – all the willing and obedient desiring to be whole, desiring to be loving, kind, to be Christ-like forever. For this Jesus gladly died, for this Christ gladly reigns – the kingdom he taught us to pray for.
