I posted a response to
allexperts site, but it appears that it is not going to accepted. I saved the response and am posting part of it below:
I feel a need to respond the misconceptions stated in the original question. It was stated: "Pastor Russell taught that the pyramids held God's truth." This was not what he taught. He believed that only one pyramid, not 'the pyramids,' held divine truths that corroborated the Biblical truth.
It was stated that he "used them to make prophecies about the date of the return of Jesus." This totally false. Brother Russell never used any pyramid to make any prophecies at all. Russell disclaimed many times that he was a prophet, and stated that his expectations were not to be considered "prophecy."
Nevertheless, Russell never derived any of his expectations from any pyramid, but rather from Biblical prophecy. Additionally, Russell was never expecting the return of Christ at any future date at all, since he believed Christ had already returned in 1874, and he did not adopt this view until 1876, two years after 1874.
