John 15:26 - "When the Counselor has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me."

Many will point to this scripture, as well as John 16:7, in combination with John 14:26, as proof that Jesus is Yahweh, since according to this scripture it is Jesus who sends the Counselor, the holy spirit, but John 14:26 identifies the Father as the one who sends the holy spirit. Thus, according to this reasoning, Jesus and the Father are one God.

Actually, both Jesus and his God do send the holy spirit of God, since God sends his holy spirit through Jesus. (Ephesians 3:5,6) The only true God does his works through, by/in (by means of, instrumental "en" Strong's #1722), the one whom he sent. -- Deuteronomy 18:15-19; Isaiah 61:1; John 1:17; 5:36; 9:4; 10:33; 14:10; 17:3; Acts 4:30; 10:34-36; Romans 2:16; 3:23-25; 5:11; 6:23; 8:39; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 15:27; 2 Corinthians 2:14; 5:18,19; Ephesians 1:3-5,17-20; 2:8-10; 4:32; Philippians 1:11; 4:19; 1 Thessalonians 5:9,19; 2 Timothy 1:7-9; Hebrews 13:20,21; 1 Peter 4:11.

In the Old Testament, both the one whom Yahweh sent, as well as Yahweh, are often credited for the work that was done. -- -- Exodus 3:10,12; 12:17; 18:10; Numbers 16:28; Judges 2:6,18; 3:9,10; 6:34; 11:29; 13:24,25; 14:6,19; 15:14,18; 16:20,28-30, 2 Kings 4:27; Isaiah 43:11, 45:1-6; etc.

Thus, both Moses and Yahweh brought Israel out of Egypt (Exodus 12:51; 15:22; Deuteronomy 32:12) Both Yahweh and Moses brought Israel out of Egypt, since Yahweh performed his works through Moses. -- Psalm 77:20; Hosea 12:13.

Likewise, Yahweh speaks and performs His works by means of his Son, Jesus (John 1:17; 3:34; 5:36; 10:25,32; 14:10; Ephesians 3:9, KJV; Titus 3:6' Deuteronomy 18:15-19; Isaiah 6:1; Acts 3:12-26) Thus, both Jesus and his God send God's holy spirit, since Yahweh sends his holy through Jesus. This does not at all mean that Jesus is his God.

Christian love,
Ronald
