We consider this book important to Bible Students because it is contains a translation of the book of Matthew from the Shem Tob Hebrew manuscript. Some believe that this manuscript is closer to the original writing of this Gospel than any other manuscript. Others believe that it simply represents an attempt by Shem Tob ben Shaprut to counteract Paul's writings. Below are some links that discuss this work. Please note that I do not necessarily agree or disagree with any conclusions given.
