Synopsis Obtained from Amazon: Want to understand John 1:1? Alpha and Omega? "I AM"? In what way Christ was "begotten" of God? If there is really a Trinity? We really appreciate Brother Kerrigan's efforts in producing this book. Overall, I believe it is offers a lot of good information for Bible students. I am offering some criticisms and suggestions below, not with a desire to discourage Brother Kerrigan, but in the spirit of Christian love and a desire for truth.

- Brother Kerrigan presents some good arguments for seeing how errors crept into the Masoretic text, and he presents possible solutions for various contradictory texts, based on the Septuagint. His thoughts are good, although regarding 2 Samuel 6:23 and 2 Samuel 21:8, I would recomment that one read:

- Brother Kerrigan presents the idea that the New Testament writers often quoted from the Septuagint. Actually, this may not be true, as they simply could have been quoting from earlier Hebrew manuscripts that were more correct, and thus their renderings of the scriptures were similar to the Septuagint. It is very difficult to separate fact from fiction and legends from true history. Often legends, although distorted, are given credence simply because they are legends, and are repeated often. It is highly possible that the Septuagint, as we now have it, was edited by Pamphilus, Eusebius and/or Origen to make it correspond to New Testament quotations.

- Brother Kerrigan presents the idea that the Septuagint is a better rendering of the original than the Masoretic text. While the Septuagint does provide some insight into various scriptures, I do not believe that overall it is a better source than the Masoretic text. He refers to the Masoretic text as a translation. While most will probably understand what he meant to say, this can be misleading, as it is actually an edited text of the Hebrew and Aramaic.
